Platelet Rich Plasma "PRP" is a cutting-edge Regenerative Medicine that is widely used for cosmetic aesthetic therapy and sports injuries. PRP uses your body’s own natural blood to repair and restore aging tissues.  Plasma contains regenerative growth factors that provide cell proliferation and tissue regeneration so it is a healthy and natural way to improve the effects of aging.

PRP facial

A PRP Facial can stimulate and improve your own facial skin. By combining with microneedling using SkinPen®, PRP treatments can improve your skin tone and texture, make your facial skin tighter and firmer, and soften lines and reduce the appearance of overlarge pores to achieve youthful, smoother, and glowing skin.  SkinPen® is the first microneedling device cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, clinically proven to safely and effectively treat facial acne scars.

Consultation

When the PRP is injected into specific areas of the skin, it acts as a matrix that promotes your own collagen to grow and regenerate tissue as well as speeds up the skin's repair process. This repair process results in smoother, tighter skin, less scarring, and improved skin tone.

You should start to see results within a week. After 1 or 2 months, you should see rejuvenated skin that appears younger, change in smoothness, glow, and improved texture.

FAQs

What are PRP injections?

PRP has been used for decades for wound and soft tissue healing by orthopedic surgeons and wound care physicians. However, more recently, there has been a large amount of research and clinical evidence demonstrating PRP’s regenerative properties for the treatment of scars, minimizing pores, fine wrinkles, volume loss, hair loss, and skin rejuvenation. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a preparation of platelets in concentrated blood plasma with regenerative growth factors used to stimulate skin healing, collagen production, other important proteins that support the skin without surgical intervention.

What is the process of PRP?
Before your treatment begins, a numbing cream is applied to the area. A small blood sample is obtained and then processed in a centrifuge to extract the plasma rich platelet "PRP". After sterilizing the area of treatment, our physician will use the SkinPen tool to stimulate your skin’s healing powers, and the PRP is massaged into your skin or hair. The entire process takes about 30 minutes and can be repeated every four weeks if needed.

How will I feel right after the procedure?
After the procedure, there may be temporary redness, swelling, tingling, tenderness, and a feeling of fullness or pressure at the injection sites. Since combining PRP injections or PRP with micro-needling makes small micro-wounds in the skin, repairing the lipid barrier function is important with gentle skincare products. We recommend no strenuous activity 24 hours after.

Will one treatment be enough?

Every treatment varies from one client to another. Most of our clients see the greatest results from a series of 2-3 treatments.

What are the effects of PRP’s?
Our clients who have had the Platelet-Rich Plasma treatment see immediate effects and find their faces and hair look even better several months after they have had the treatments. That is because the plasma stimulates their skin’s stem cells to produce more collagen, grow new cells and rejuvenate their skin and hair. The new cell growth in your skin generated by the Platelet Rich Plasma takes weeks to months, which is why it looks so much better after more time passes. PRP has little to no negative side effects and downtime. The benefit for many people is the option to use their own natural body’s pathways to improve their skin rather than injecting fillers.
